I just found this post where an experienced traveller explains his disappointment when visiting Barcelona and found the city crowded and kind of made for tourists. Despite his broken dreams of a idilic city he was able to fall in love with its modernism architecture. But I know very well our city and I can say that there are much more to see and enjoy in Barcelona. The problem is to find this hidden spots. A good guide can help to get oriented in the city and not to miss the must see places but if you really want to avoid the crowded areas and get to know the soul of this amazing city what you are looking for is the help of someone who has lived in. As I told James, no matter if is an specialized company like ours or just a friend, but if you really want to have an unique experience in Barcelona you only have to ask for it.
